£15K early estimate from AKT

The Albert Kennedy Trust announced Sunday evening that whilst all monies raised have not yet been totted up, they’d already reached the hefty sum of £15,000 raised for their cause.
The last few days saw the ‘Big Purple Weekender’ take over much of the village as numerous venues threw themselves into the festivities. Saturday’s ‘Its a Knockout’ tournament was finally won by Team Taurus, but not before much rivalry (and a little bit of cheating) from the teams sent by Eagle and Thompson Arms. As the afternoon turned into the evening things didnt let up with Cruz’s Beach Party, New York New Yorks ‘Teddyfest’ particular highlights. Owner Nick Curtis and his Event Manager Ady Blake from Eagle got well and truly slimed in their gunge tank whilst other events also took place throughout the village.
Sunday’s drag race was finally won by Penny Crayon who along with diva’s Peggy Wessex and Easyer Nicole entertained the crowds throughout the day.
