LGBT QUESTION TIME HITS THE CITY

The LGBT Question Time took place at Manchester Town Hall on the morning of Sunday 8th February. The packed room heard from many different people about what they feel are the pressing issues for LGBT communities in Manchester today. Whilst topics such as community safety and hate crime were discussed, so did the lack of services available to older LGBT people and BME LGBT people – and those were just some of the subjects covered. You can listen to a full audio recording of the event via the LGF website. A summary report and a film by LGBTV will also be available soon.

The event highlighted how important it is to talk about the needs of LGBT communities and how vital it is to hear from those who will be affected the most by decisions from policy makers and service providers. To further build on these relationship with LGBT communities, The LGF are again going on the road and travelling around Greater Manchester to meet individuals, local groups and organisations to find out about the health and social care issues that matter to them.
