Months in the planning, Sparkle Weekend finally landed in the village Thursday evening.
With enough events throughout the daytime and the evening to keep everyone happy, this years celebration looks set to be the biggest to date.
Friday night saw ‘Queens of Pop’ return to Canal Street’s Via for the official welcoming party – with other notable events held at ICON Bar and Eden.
Things get set to get even bigger on Saturday as the trans community descend on whats forcast to be a very sunny Sackville Park for the day with an array of events scheduled, including Miss Sparkle 2013.

Sunday sees a 3 course banquet at Villagio Restaurant and a performance from favourites ‘The Gay Gordons’ at New York New York.

Sparkle is a celebration of gender diversity, an opportunity to make new friends and obtain help, support and information on gender issues. But above all it is a chance for the trans community to be proud of who they are and show the world what being TG is all about.
