VILLAGE PEOPLE WEEKEND RAISES OVER £8K

The second annual Village People Weekend took place at the start of May in Sackville Gardens. With live performances from the likes of the AAA Girls, Angie Brown and The Dead 20’s, as well as a plethora of local talents taking part.

The weekend raised an impressive total of £8,159.07p for The George House Trust and Moni Malawi and saw visitors to the village swell throughout the weekend.

Paul McAvoy, founder of Village People Weekend said “Thankyou to everyone that once again made this event happen for the second year. Such a great community effort from all the bars, acts and volunteers.100% of bucket donations raised straight to charity. Well done Manchester!”
